A. SEMAN ART GALLERY
About The Artist
Mr. A. Seman was born in 1952. Born with talent in art, Mr. A. Seman was fomerly a Mathematics and Art teacher at government secondary schools. As a government civil servent, he had a scarcity of time to paint. In 1994, he transferred to a government teachers' college. He continued his civil service as a graphic artist there. He only became more serious in art after being transferred.
As a civil servant, Mr. A. Seman prefers not to be known as an artist but he will be glad if he is called as an amateur artist. He paints in all mediums espacially watercolour and soft pastel. But now he changes to oil as his favourite medium. His main styles are realism, impressionism and surrealism. He intends to be a professional after retiring from his civil service in 2010. Now he shares a small studio and gallery with a friend in his hometown, Kota Bharu.
As an Art teacher, Mr. A. Seman practices many styles and techniques in his paintings. This is very important for him because by exploring different techniques and styles it would be much easier for him to teach his students who have different basic skills and tastes. After retiring from government service, Mr. A. Seman also plans to open art workshops for young artists in his studio. Feel free and enjoy yourself touring this site and do not forget to sign Mr. A. Seman's guest book before leaving the site.
